"Hunt for a Cure" Fundraiser

The 16th annual "Hunt for a Cure" fundraiser is scheduled for March 11th, 2008. Last year's event raised over $250,000 for our research fund! Thanks to everyone who donated, volunteered, and participated, especially Rob Evans who generously coordinates this event every year.

In 2006, Mossy Oak created a Turkey Vest that they produced and sold as a fundraiser for the Arnold S. Leonard Cancer Research Fund in memory of Bob Dixon. Bob Dixon was a great hunter, humanitarian and friend to Dr. Leonard until he passed away with cancer in 2003. Mossy Oak donated over $50,000 from this fundraiser in the past year.

Dr. Leonard and Dr. Saltzman Honored

The Arnold S. Leonard, M.D., Ph.D. Chair in Pediatric Surgery was established in 2004 as a permanent source of funding to enhance the teaching, clinical work, and research of Dr. Leonard. Endowed Scholar and Honoree honors were given to Dr. Saltzman and Dr. Leonard by the University of Minnesota.
